Need to bring

Metalworking
- Hard metal anvil like object
- I have used a mini sledge hammer
- Small or medium ball peen hammer
- Cylindrical metal object the size of a finger
- I have used the back of one of my center punches but I have also used a small steel pipe
- Small piece of soft wood with at least 1″ depth
- I have used a random piece of 2×4
- Larger striking hammer
- this can be a larger carpentry hammer, I simply use the mini sledge agian
Leather working
- Well fitting real leather gloves
- The kit fits Hardware store sizes small or Medium
- Not genuine leather cause those are not sturdy enough. I use goat skin in the example. Deer and cow work well too.
- 4-5oz full grain chrome tan cow hide leather.
- yes veg tan is fine but is prone to molding if wet and not sealed well, as this is a beginner kit i recommend chrome tan for its low stretch and low maintanance properties.
- Printed out leather templates
- Marker that can be seen on the leather
- Leather hole punch OR sharp awl OR both
- no not drill or use scissors for holes!!
- you may want the leather hole punch for the rivet holes and the sharp awe for the stitching
- Sharp needle
- you can find specialized extremely sharp Glovers needles online that make life easier…. and slightly more dangerous…
- waxed thick polyester thread
- this can be specialized leather threads, button hole making thread, or artificial sinnue
- Scissors able to cut thought the leather
